Supposing that the Europeans have one God, then they are united through him. Songs about unity, togetherness, and camaraderie are always fun to listen to. Anyone can relate. You don't have to be a boy, girl, mom, dad, in love, out of love, or anything else. All you need to be is a human person to sharing the solidarity with others out there.
Since the ESC unites viewers from all around Europe, wholesome songs about being one, united Europe are enthusiastically supported by the audience.
