EU 41 under TBA is way cooler than the other classes combined!

Just kidding about writing like an uneducated fangirl.  I don't write that way.  But anyway everything else is correct.  This is my final project for my entire college life and I enjoyed cramming making it. :)

Me and some flags of Europe

Since 1956, the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) has become one of the most-watched television programs in Europe, with a wide audience from Portugal to Russia, and Finland to Cyprus.  ESC unites artists, musicians, and people from over 43 countries--that's even better than the European Union and her 27 Member States.  The singing contest has become a modern classic strongly embedded into Europe's collective mind.

ESC has been here for many years and I was wondering whether or not the winning songs show various aspects of European daily life and culture.  So in this blog, I will be listening to and analyzing the ESC winning song entries.  Then I'll post videos of what I figured out. :)

Since there have already been more than 50 winners, I'll be focusing on the more recent ones from 1990 to 2010.  I speak English, Filipino, French, and German.  But I am also fluent in Slovak, Finnish, Russian, Bulgarian, Norwegian, Dutch, and every other language just as long as I have access to Google Translate.  With that being said, I will focus more on the songs I can understand.  Enjoy! :)
